In this essay I will be talking about two different viral ads and my opinion of them both. Also my conclusion will be deciding which one I like best and how it speaks to their target audience and has the things they like in the advert

Viral Ad 1:
You immediately know it is Cadburys because you can already see the logo which is the glass half full from previous adverts and also the packaging. The movement of the gorilla is very slow to match the music. The slow different camera shots of the gorilla make you more curious to see what the gorilla is doing in the studio and why he’s not in the jungle. The camera pans back to show more of the studio and the music increases. The further the camera pans back the more you can see what the gorilla is doing and you become more and more curious why he is there and playing the drums.as the advert comes to an end you can see the full product and the full logo with the bar of chocolate appears on the screen showing you that it is definitely Cadburys if you didn’t know from the start. My opinion of this advert is that it’s very strange but at the same time very clever as the gorilla is very life like and obviously very different from other adverts but Cadburys is known for unusual adverts as the "Cadburys eyebrow" advert shows. I also think it’s very clever how the gorilla and the chocolate have no link at all but because it’s completely random you tend to remember it more if it was just a boring old chocolate advert so every time you watch the advert or buy a bar of the chocolate you’re going to think of the gorilla playing drums.
Viral Ad 2:
This viral video has 77 million views
This advert is aimed at all ages as its funny and everyone will enjoy it including adults.
The Roller Babies ad features babies that are about one year old. They perform break dances throughout the ad to show the effect of Evian on the body. I think this advert is very clever for the fact it’s very complicated because obviously no baby that young can roller skate and do those tricks or in fact roller skate at all. Also if you think into the advert a bit more you would question what roller skating babies has something to do with water but the further you look into it the more you'll realise for example the reason they used babies was to show youth and how water can make your skin younger so that’s a link and for example Evian’s slogan word is pure and obviously babies are as nothing bad happens/they do something bad because obviously they are so young so that’s also links. Before the release of the Evian campaigns, people may already have some associations related to babies. They could describe them with adjectives like cute, young and active. ‘Evian’ introduced a connection between Evian and babies. The “Live Young” slogan was used to promote its audience to read the hidden meaning of the babies, which is to be young. This can be related back to the product through the ad. Evian water has created a cultural meaning for its brand; the youthfulness of babies becomes an important sign for Evian.

In conclusion these two viral adverts appeal to both young and older audiences and they have a childish aspect to them but still something that adults and teenagers find amusing and will enjoy.

My Official Viral Ad

In this essay I will be talking about my viral ad and who my product will appeal to (target audience) and why.

My product is an energy drink called “Animal” which is based off the energy drink Monster which

My target audience will be teenagers and young adults as they can relate to the club and how different drinks make you feel to give you more energy and feel more powered. The reason I have targeted this certain group of people is because a young child wont/wont be allowed to drink a full energy drink or any kind of one

In my first shot there will be a group of teenagers at a busy party and a while through they all get handed a can of Animal to try. They all drink the drink and the camera starts to pan around the club and everything slows down. When the camera returns to the teenagers they are still drinking the drink and as they are a different animal for each person will flash on their face and the camera will go static, then the camera starts to pan again and when it returns again they have become the full animal and destroy the club/party. The advert will end with the can and the slogan “let the animal out inside of you” and a roar at the end.

The target audience for my diamond advert is for women
The reason i chose the slogan is to capture the eyes of women who sometimes prefer material things to real life things and to basically make them choose the diamond instead of the friends.
By using a plain black background and a flash behind the diamond it makes the product itself stand out more, and capture more eyes as it really is magical and something a woman "needs" in her life

My Viral Ad

My product is an energy drink called “Animal” which is based off the energy drink Monster which has worldwide audience and appeals to the same target audience an as my product will appeal to.
Energy drink brand ads:
Red Bull: They use the slogan "Red Bull gives you wings",they also advertise through cartoons with a new sketch every year, they are known across the globe and have sold billions worldwide
Monster: Monster Energy is advertised mainly through sponsorship of sporting events including motocross, BMX, mountain biking, snowboarding, skateboarding, car racing, speedway, and eSports,.Also Monster promotes music bands around the world, like Asking Alexandria, The Word Alive, Maximum the Hormone and Shinedown
Rockstar: They dont have a official tv advertisement like the two others but they are sponsored by sporting events also and are a worldwide known brand, they also have various youtube adverts

My own viral advert will be about a energy drink called "Animal" and it will be teenagers in a party and they all get handed the drink and eventually all turn into animals, the slogan will then appear "let the animakl out inside of you" with a roar at the end
